Hurray Week 24!

Well here on the West Coast we are currently and happily enjoying week 24, The Stanley Cup Playoffs, Spring and Cherry blossoms!!

So happy that it is finally week 24 of our pregnancy! Honestly time cannot move fast enough for me....I just want everyone to grow, grow, grow and to get to a point where they are safe to exit the womb and enter our world. Baby C and Baby B are doing extremely well, measuring where they should be etc. but our little Baby A is about a week behind it's siblings. Two ultrasounds this week and the first one revealed that there was some blood flow issues through one of the arteries (there are two arteries and a vein in the umbilical cord) and then the second ultrasound revealved much better news and that blood flow was normal in the artery (thank God) but that the numbers for Baby A were still low showing that growing is a bit of a struggle for this little one. So I am trying to take it even easier now and have slowed down quite a bit. Taking more time to rest, uping my fluids and downing as much protein as I can possibly handle...along with a lot of praying, postive vibes and visualizations of three sweet healthy babies.  So some stressfull moments but we are keeping the faith.

Every thing with me is checking out great. My body is functioning wonderfully, good blood work results, no sign of gestational diabities, hemoglobin a bit low and that's it. I actually managed to get a really good sleep one night in the past week; my body pillow finally breaking in I guess. It's amazing how much your glutes and hips start to hurt after laying on your side for so long.....I had no clue that kind of pain could be produced from simply lying on ones side. Not to mention I seriously believe that my muscles are still in a bit of shock not having run for - dare I say it - almost 6 months!!!!! It's the exact same pain I get when I have overtrained....who knew??

Todd and I did manage to get away two weekends ago for what is most likely my last get-a-way for a long while. We spent the weekend in Whistler enjoying bubble baths and spa days and wonderful food...much needed relaxation for us both.

No pictures of babies or baby bumps this post but I have included one of us at Quatro in Whistler - (with my chubby face)and one of our other 4 legged child (Monarch a wedding gift from Todd) enjoying a nap. So cute!

March 30th 21 Weeks and 2 days

Well, finally got around to starting our triplet Blog.It has been on my list for a long while glad that I am finally making it a reality.
The Belly
I am happy to report that I am currently 21 +  weeks along and all is very well. We had a very thourough Ultrasound appointment on Monday and got to see everyone in great detail.  Baby C it appears is quite the acrobat. Lying on its back legs bent upwards at the waste knees actually hovering above the nose and legs extended straight feet up in the air. It was pretty amazing to see Baby C all stretched out like that. They look more and more 'baby like' every time we see them. Even though I have seen them all so many times during our Ultrasounds it is still so surreal and unbelievable and magical every time. I could stare at them for hours waiting to see what they are going to do next. Even a small movement is rewarding.  So everyone is looking good, on schedule and growing right along with my very large belly.

I am still feeling fairly good. A little tired throughout the day and a few things are starting to become a bit of a challenge physically. Reaching to close the car door, tying my running shoes when getting ready to take the dog out for our daily stroll and gone are the days of large meals, now it's just many mini meals all day long...which isn't a bad thing.

Oh and I can't forget it was our little Puppy Girl's Birthday last week. Here we are at the park enjoying the amazing sunshine and cherry trees. Happy 5 years little Girl!
