Well here on the West Coast we are currently and happily enjoying week 24, The Stanley Cup Playoffs, Spring and Cherry blossoms!!
So happy that it is finally week 24 of our pregnancy! Honestly time cannot move fast enough for me....I just want everyone to grow, grow, grow and to get to a point where they are safe to exit the womb and enter our world. Baby C and Baby B are doing extremely well, measuring where they should be etc. but our little Baby A is about a week behind it's siblings. Two ultrasounds this week and the first one revealed that there was some blood flow issues through one of the arteries (there are two arteries and a vein in the umbilical cord) and then the second ultrasound revealved much better news and that blood flow was normal in the artery (thank God) but that the numbers for Baby A were still low showing that growing is a bit of a struggle for this little one. So I am trying to take it even easier now and have slowed down quite a bit. Taking more time to rest, uping my fluids and downing as much protein as I can possibly handle...along with a lot of praying, postive vibes and visualizations of three sweet healthy babies. So some stressfull moments but we are keeping the faith.
Every thing with me is checking out great. My body is functioning wonderfully, good blood work results, no sign of gestational diabities, hemoglobin a bit low and that's it. I actually managed to get a really good sleep one night in the past week; my body pillow finally breaking in I guess. It's amazing how much your glutes and hips start to hurt after laying on your side for so long.....I had no clue that kind of pain could be produced from simply lying on ones side. Not to mention I seriously believe that my muscles are still in a bit of shock not having run for - dare I say it - almost 6 months!!!!! It's the exact same pain I get when I have overtrained....who knew??
Todd and I did manage to get away two weekends ago for what is most likely my last get-a-way for a long while. We spent the weekend in Whistler enjoying bubble baths and spa days and wonderful food...much needed relaxation for us both.
No pictures of babies or baby bumps this post but I have included one of us at Quatro in Whistler - (with my chubby face)and one of our other 4 legged child (Monarch a wedding gift from Todd) enjoying a nap. So cute!
